UK Banned TV Advert – Too Gay For British People?

share with friends!

Here is a TV ad that was banned in the UK in 2008 after only one week because of too many complaints. I don’t know the official reason for pulling the ad but my guess is it was just too gay for the British people!

Personally I think it is very funny, and it doesn’t exactly have a realistic feel (although I’m not gay myself so perhaps this is what gay households are like? Although I’m guessing not somehow!). Despite being banned it remains alive for your viewing!

I’m gay, and I was bloody please to see this advert. shows them taking a risk and trying to show that its normal, the advert was about something simple, didn’t focus on the homosexuality but kept its priority the product it was trying to sell. The fact that it was banned isn’t surprising, but it is dissapointing. although your right, gay households arent exactly like that, for starts, children wouldnt call one dad, mum. they’d call them usually by their actual names, or have on as pappa. just because we’re gay, doesn’t mean theres a girl and a guy in the relationship. and to think so kinda ruins the point of it being a gay relationship. lol. hopwever, other than the mum thing, the advert was pretty accurate. ^-^
