Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011 – Acts That Look Worth A Watch

This biggest thing in comedy is about to return. Always a big event, it is worth going to if you can make it up to the sunny heights of Scotland. Here I have picked out just a small handful of acts (there are absolutely loads to see!) that look well worth a watch to me.

Chris Ramsey ComedianChris Ramsey: Offermation
This young guy has already made a name for himself during 2010 – including appearing on ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’ and ‘Comedy Rocks’. He returns with his second stand-up show, this time the focus is on communication and how to smash through the barriers we put up between us! Rising observational stand-up performer, definitely worth a watch.

Wilfredo ErectoWilfredo Erecto!
Already featured on our website before due to his performances in London. If you like a bit of Cabaret this is one to check out. He is described as a Mediterranean pop god dripping with raw sex appeal that men admire and women desire! Enjoy a sing song with this crazy guy during the 1hr show.

Dregs Sketch showDregs sketch show
These guys are an up and coming act with their debut hour of hilarious sketches. Mark Smith and Max Dickens are their names and they invite you into their unique comedy world. Chortle said about them “Obvious talent with a keen eye for untapped funny”, making them one to watch.

Alex HorneAlex Horne: Seven Years in the Bathroom
If you want something a bit different check out this guy, in his own words “I’m going to recreate your entire life in one hour.” So in the average lifetime you will spend two years out shopping, two weeks kissing and a year and a half looking for lost things. Sounds like a frantic show of fun.

Matt GreenMatt Green: Too Much Information
‘That guy from the Crunchy Nut adverts’ returns with a new show of stand-up and storytelling. Featuring lots of jokes, a smidgen of politics and absolutely no pictures of kittens. Now an experienced performer this looks like another performance worth seeing from Matt.

If you want to see more information about any of these acts, or others, visit the Ed Fringe website, the search function is great if you want to see specific acts. On their you can see dates, times, book tickets and everything else you need to know. This year looks set to be another feast of goodness so don’t miss out if you can make it.
