Here is a quick collection of clips by stand up comedian Phil Kay. On the opening weekend of the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2010, Central Station followed Scottish Comedian Phil Kay as he embraced the festival (and a couple of by-standers) and did GI.

These aren’t your typical comedy sketches, they are a variety of funny snippets of his antics at the 2010 GI. On this page are my favourite 3 clips and thoughts on each.

1) Phil on Museums and being heard
I’ve started with my favourite. Love the moment of clear discomfort which descends upon the people in the museum when he begins to play. It’s actually a catchy little song with clever lyrics! Funny ending as well to top the video off.

2) Phil muses the humility of pigeons
Quite a good reaction when the birds fly off, a somewhat unexpected impression of pigeons! Rubbish impression mind but it adds to the funniness of it.

3) Love of White Bikes
For some reason just his mumbling on about this uninteresting topic seems funny. Love how he justifies the right hand move as a ‘practical solution’ near the beginning, a signal of how this mans mind works!

No ground breaking moments in this collection but worth a watch as Phil manages to be funny even when not trying to be. He has done 21 Edinburgh Festivals in a row so is a real pro comedian! These have to be up there as some of the funniest television ads of all time in the UK. Top work by Mr Peter Kay as he makes these adverts what they are.

The first video contains 3 different ads. In total there are 8 different ads to enjoy here, we have given them all a little title so you know which one it is. So funny!

The last one in the list is possibly the most famous and the one a lot of people always remember first. Hopefully they keep making lots more of these as they are brilliant.

Here are some absolutely brilliant 3D animated comedy clips for you. They are created by a small CG animation studio in New Zealand. The series is called JokeToons.

These are very funny (and well worth a second watch) so hopefully lots more are released over the coming months and years. They have been especially made for smart phones and PMP’s so no doubt you may stumble across these again. Great production, memorable characters and some excellent writing, sprinkle in some originality and you have a perfect comedy gold mix!

The classic US sitcom only ran from 1989-93 but was a hit, not just in the USA but also in the UK. Despite being very funny (and looking back, quite cheesy!) it also dealt with real teen social issues. So relive the memories with the awesome Saved By The Bell theme tune, and the lyrics are below the video as well. You can now also get the DVD here in the UK of season 1.

Me neither, who cares, watch his clips and enjoy, including the quality Mr Butterfield sketches! You may notice Peter from lots of TV programmes/films including; Shaun of the Dead, Hardware, Spaced and of course his very own ‘The Peter Serafinowicz Show’ broadcast on the BBC in 2007. He has also appeared on; 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You, QI and lots more funny shows.

He is currently in Driver Dan’s Story Train, a kids program which can be watched on Cbeebies (Sky channel 614) everyday at 12.30pm. It is a fun show for 2-6 year olds which encourages reading and literacy, Peter does the voice for the main character Driver Dan!

Although not a ‘proper’ comedian Jeremy Clarkson is a funny tv personality well worth watching. Best known for presenting Top Gear he also has out his own DVDs, books and makes guest appearances on other shows such as Have I Got News For You. So here is a selection of very funny clips of Jeremy in action.

Season 13 of the awesome South Park is currently showing in the US on Comedy Central. This year it has had an appearance from Kanye West, and past series have seen lots of other celebrity impressions.

If you haven’t yet seen Kanye’s spoof appearance it features Mr West being ridiculed thanks to a song called Gayfish. Maybe this will give his ego a knock so he keeps his mouth shut at appropriate times!

Here is a few videos picked out from Jokeyphone. Although it’s a slick website, to be honest most of the jokes on their website at the moment simply aren’t funny, hopefully that improves! But for the moment here are a couple of the top viewed ones.

Watch out for more in the future as no doubt the quality will improve further.

Here is one of the classic and most loved spoof videos available to watch on the video sharing sites. It is called Popstar and is a spoof of the hit song Rockstar by Nickelback.
