Every year there is a ‘British Red Cross Week’ to help raise money for this brilliant charity who help people in crisis here in the UK and abroad. The theme for 2011 is ‘One in a Million’ with the aim of raising £1million! The great thing is it is very easy to support them – no need to go climbing mountains or anything crazy – simply going along to a local event and enjoying the fun will help.

Thousands of volunteers will be having loads of wicked fun collecting the pennies via baking cakes, dressing up, wearing wigs and washing cars. To get involved with the fun you can Sign up for a local event on their website.
