TheHumorBlog was established in November 2007. On the right is our logo in which our tagline ‘good comedy is worth sharing’ tells visitors what we are about.
TheHumorBlog is listed in lots of communities including websites like BlogCatalog and BritishBlogs.
We regularly comment on other blogs in our niche, as well as join in forums and get listed in targeted directories. We also invite others in the industry to get involved with ourselves by running competitions, commenting and submitting work to us.
You can find our own profiles on Twitter with thousands of followers, Google+ and we also manage a Facebook presence and upload photos to the web via a Flickr account. Lots of members of the public also link to us on other sites such as StumbleUpon, Digg and Yahoo Answers.
You can also find our YouTube channel here, you are welcome to add us as a friend.
If you wish to save us on your smartphone you can use an QR scanner app to scan our barcode.
Search Engine Presence
Thanks to our marketing efforts and viral nature we have a strong web presence. Add this to our maturity and many of our articles now rank well in Google and the other popular search engines.
Values & Aims
TheHumorBlog certainly isn’t the biggest in the niche, but in every individual post we aim to be the best. There is no excuse for giving the visitors anything other then an excellent service, from usability, loading speeds and quality of content – all should be excellent. As a commercial business we work with partners to generate revenue from advertising and affiliation, this is not done at the expense of visitors and the revenues are in fact the driving force behind the ability to produce such good quality content.
The site is currently owned and managed by Chris Satchwell, that’s me, the guy writing this! I’m a full-time webmaster from the UK, but our content is targetted at people worldwide. I’m proud of the site as it is, but still want it to get much better!
We also on occasions have freelancers create work for us (such as awesome cartoons!) and the odd guest blogger. All of the work is much appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by and reading about us today!
